Each thermowell is an important component of any temperature measurement point. It is used to separate the process from the surrounding area, thereby protecting the environment and operational personnel, and to keep the temperature sensor away from aggressive fluids, high pressures and high flow velocities. It also allows the sensor to be changed during operation.

There are many different types of thermowells, depending on the design or the type of material used. The type of process connection and the manufacturing method are important selection criteria. A choice can be made between thermowells with threaded connections, welded connections and flanged connections.
